Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8 Launch: Tech giant Google on Wednesday unveiled the latest Pixel 8 series smartphones – Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro during its Made By Google event. Both devices feature Google’s latest Tensor G3 chipset, Bluetooth 5.3, a 10.5-megapixel selfie camera, and more.

Google Pixel 8 Pro, Pixel 8: Price and Availability

Google Pixel 8 is priced at Rs 75,999 in India. Customers can avail a bank discount of Rs 8,000 and trade-in bonus of Rs 3,000 on the purchase of this new Pixel device. On the other hand, the Google Pixel 8 Pro is priced higher at Rs 1,06,999. However, buyers can get a bank discount of Rs 9,000 and an exchange bonus of Rs 4,000. Both Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro are available for pre-order on Flipkart.

Google Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel 8: Specifications

The Google Pixel 8 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro has a larger 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display and a 120Hz refresh rate with a peak brightness of 2,400 nits. The Pixel 8 series is powered by Google’s custom Tensor G3 chipset with Titan M2 security processor. Both devices have the latest Android 14 operating system.

The Pixel 8 comes in two storage options – 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB, while the Pixel 8 Pro on the other hand comes in three storage configurations – 12GB + 128GB storage, 12GB + 256GB storage and 12GB + 512GB storage space. As for the battery, the Pixel 8 is backed by a 4,5775 mAh battery with 27W fast charging, and the Pixel 8 Pro is backed by a 5,050 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.

Both the Google Pixel 8 Pro and the Google Pixel 8 come with Bluetooth version 5.3, Face ID, an in-display fingerprint scanner and an IP68 rating. In addition, Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro differ in size and weight. The Pixel 8 is smaller, measuring 5.92 x 2.79 x 0.35 inches and weighing 187 grams. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro is larger, measuring 6.4 x 3.01 x 0.34 inches and weighing 213 grams. The Pixel 8 Pro also comes with seven years of OS, security and Feature Drop updates.

In terms of cameras, the Pixel 8 has a dual camera setup on the back that includes a 50-megapixel wide camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera. On the other hand, the Pixel 8 Pro has a triple rear camera, including a 50MP wide-angle camera, a 48MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 48MP telephoto lens with up to 30x Super Rez Zoom. Both devices have a 10.5-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calls.
