OnePlus Unveils Foldable Phone in India Equipped With Hasselblad Cameras and 67W Charging: Price and Specifications
The OnePlus Open foldable phone was launched in India on Thursday. As the rituals go, the company has focused on marketing its product ahead of the launch with all kinds of teasers, including even showing the device in the hand of a celebrity. The OnePlus Open foldable is made with Oppo and is basically a global variant of the Oppo Find N3 that was announced earlier on Thursday. The new foldable has no shortage of power and image quality, thanks to Qualcomm and Hasselblad.

The OnePlus Open has been launched in India at a price of Rs 1,39,999 and that price gets you 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. OnePlus Open will be available as an open sale from October 27. There are some bank offers and trade-in discounts for people trading in their old device.

The OnePlus Open gets a 7.82-inch Flexi Fluid LTPO 3.0 AMOLED 2K resolution display when you open the device, while the outer display is a 6.31-inch LTPO 3.0 AMOLED panel that supports Dolby Vision and 2800 nits of peak brightness. Both screens support a refresh rate of 120 Hz and offer a pixel density of 431 ppi. The foldable weighs a hefty 239 grams and is 11.7mm thick when folded Open.
The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of non-expandable storage. The foldable will run OxygenOS 13 with preloaded apps, as confirmed by the company earlier. The software is tuned to be compatible with the foldable, which means multi-screen support and offers smoothness for a seamless experience. More importantly, OnePlus announced that the foldable phone will get 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates.
On the image processing side, the OnePlus Open is one of the top cameras. It has a triple rear camera system consisting of a 48-megapixel sensor with OIS, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 64-megapixel telephoto sensor, also with OIS. The display on the cover has a 32-megapixel shooter, while the folded version has a 20-megapixel camera. And finally, you have a 4805mAh battery that supports 67W fast wired charging, but there is no wireless charging on the device.
