Reliance Jio Introduces Jio SpaceFiber: India’s First GigaFiber Internet Service Powered by Satellite

At the India Mobile Congress 2023 in New Delhi, Reliance Jio launched India’s first satellite-based GigaFiber service called Jio SpaceFiber in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The new Jio SpaceFiber service aims to provide fast broadband services to previously unreachable geographical areas in India.

The service will be available all over the country at a very affordable price. Right now, Jio SpaceFiber is now available in four remotest locations in India – Gir in Gujarat, Korba in Chattisgarh, Nabrangpur in Odisha and ONGC-Jorhat in Assam.

Jio already provides high-speed broadband fixed network and wireless services to over 450 million Indian consumers. To accelerate digital inclusion in every household in India, Jio has added JioSpaceFiber to its leading range of broadband services, JioFiber and JioAirFiber. The satellite network also supports the addition of additional capacity for mobile backhaul, further enhancing the availability and coverage of Jio True5G in the remotest parts of the country.
