X Launches Subscription Packages Ranging from $0 to $16 per Month
In an effort to boost revenue, Elon Musk’s X introduced new subscription levels for users on Friday at the social media company.
Subscribers have the option of paying $3 a month for a basic tier that offers features such as the ability to edit posts and upload longer videos, according to the company formerly known as Twitter Inc.

Web users can pay $8 per month for the premium tier or $16 per month for the premium tier , to get additional benefits like a blue checkmark, ad revenue sharing, and less or no ads on their timeline. Users ordering through Apple Inc.’s iOS and Android platforms pay more.
Since Musk bought the company a year ago, X has moved away from advertising to paid subscriptions. A new analysis by independent researcher Travis Brown estimates that between 950,000 and 1.2 million people now pay for X’s $8-a-month premium service.
