Three Colourful Choices: OnePlus 12 is Here!
OnePlus’ next mainline flagship, the OnePlus 12, is expected to debut in China next month on December 4, the brand’s 10th anniversary. Over the past few months, we’ve gotten a rough idea of what to expect from the phone when it goes on sale — including the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, screen size, and more. So far, however, we have known almost nothing about the design and colors.
According to a new post by OnePlus on Weibo, the OnePlus 12 will come in light green, stone black and white. Based on this, we can say that the green model has become a kind of OnePlus mainstay, as its OnePlus 11 series also came in eternal green.
Another recent rumor also claimed that the OnePlus 12 could feature one model with a wooden back, similar to the Bamboo back panel that was offered with the OnePlus 1, its first-ever smartphone.
OnePlus 12: What to expect
OnePlus has already confirmed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a QHD+ (1440 x 3168) AMOLED display made by BOE. It supports a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, making it brighter than some recent flagships, including the iPhone 15 Pro (2,000 nits) and the Pixel 8 Pro (2,400 nits). In addition, the screen has received an A+ rating from DisplayMate. This panel is called “X1 Oriental Screen”.
Also, with the addition of Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the smartphone should continue the legacy of previous OnePlus models – offering the latest and greatest internals. And in terms of optics, it should get a triple camera, with wide, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras on offer.
However, the rest of the specifications are still unclear from OnePlus and should be taken with a grain of salt until it is revealed during the official event. In addition, the global release of the phone is rumored to take place in January next year.
