Here are the benefits you can now enjoy for Docs, Sheets, Slides, and more in the latest Google update.
Google has been consistently adding new features to its workspace app in order to enhance user experience. By incorporating artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the company has introduced numerous enhancements to Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides, and Google Drawings. The most recent update includes a convenient sharing option, which will greatly benefit individuals who regularly share their work through Google Workspace. Take a look at the latest additions to the company’s services.
Google dropdown sharing options
According to the Google blog, a new drop-down menu has been added. The purpose is to highlight the share button in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides and Google Drawings. This allows users to easily share documents in Google Workspace. These options provide users with quick actions such as pending access requests and Copy Link option. This is to save users time when sharing or receiving documents from various other Google applications.
Google’s drop-down sharing option has been rolled out for both businesses and the general public with personal Google accounts. If you can’t access these features, you’ll need to wait at least a week for Google to gradually roll out the feature to all Workspace users.
Earlier, Google also announced a feature that allows users to share Google Drive files with Google Calendar meeting participants via a share dialog inside the file. Now with new dropdown options, it provides easy access for regular users. Note that the feature can be accessed through the web-based versions of the Google Workspace apps.
In addition, the Google blog revealed more new features, such as sharing links at a certain time in a Google Drive video. This allows users to share only a specific part of the video instead of the entire video. This Google Drive feature has also been implemented for Workspace users. These are some of the few changes that users may encounter in the coming weeks.
