Indian Government Issues Urgent Security Advisory for Android Users: Immediate Phone Update Required
Android users have yet another security warning from the Indian government, and they’ll probably get their first in January. The warning comes through India’s Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, alerting billions of Android phone users in the country. The warning message tells about vulnerabilities in the latest phones that can allow hackers to easily steal data from those phones.
“These vulnerabilities exist in Android due to errors in the framework, system, Google Play system updates, Arm components, Imagination Technologies, MediaTek components, Unisoc components, Qualcomm components, and its closed source components,” CERT-In noted in January. 11 mentioned.
When you read the names given here, the security issue, which is classified as high severity, affects basically every Android smartphone user in the country.
