Masimo claims that the blood oxygen app on the Apple Watch will be removed to prevent a ban.
Masimo Corp has confirmed that the US has given approval to Apple Inc’s software update, which will eliminate the blood oxygen saturation feature from its devices. This decision comes after an import ban was imposed.
Masimo, based in Irvine, Calif., made the announcement in a letter dated Jan. 15. The US Customs Service and Apple have not commented on the change.
