Noida Plant to Manufacture Samsung Galaxy S24 Series for India and Other Nations
The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is manufactured in India and the company plans to use its large noida factory unit to manufacture these devices for the domestic and international markets. Samsung India CEO J B Park shared the update on Thursday.
Samsung started production at the same plant a few years ago, which shows its focus and commitment to the Indian market. The new Galaxy S24 lineup is also the first to be built with AI-centric features based on Google’s Gemini flagship model.
Samsung has three main devices to choose from: the vanilla Galaxy S24, the Galaxy S24 Plus and the high-end Galaxy S24 Ultra.
This year, the Galaxy S24 Ultra starts at Rs 1,29,999 for the base model with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The 512GB variant costs Rs 1,39,999 and the 1TB variant costs Rs 1,59,999. The Galaxy S24 Plus is slightly cheaper and now comes with 12GB of RAM as standard across all variants. It starts at Rs 99,999 for the base 256GB model and goes all the way up to Rs 1,09,999 for the 512GB variant.
The Galaxy S24 is the smallest of the three models, measuring 6.2 inches and featuring 8GB of RAM across all variants. The 256GB model costs Rs 79,999, while the 512GB version costs Rs 89,999, meaning that there will be no 128GB model available in India this year. Pre-orders for the phone have started on January 18 and they will be on sale in the country from January 31.
