There is an Android app entry bug that could make its way to Chrome OS 87
Google has started rolling out version 87 of its desktop operating system, Chrome OS, to users. Now the word is Chrome OS 87 has a bug that makes typing a nightmare for users.
According to a report from Android Police, the beta version of Chrome OS 87 has a latency bug that slows down keyboard typing speed when typing in an Android app. The short video shared by the post shows that keyboard typing appears when typing in an Android app after a significant lag. This lag appears after continuous typing for about 30 seconds and it is present on almost all Android apps.
In particular, the publication is not the only one to point it out. A Google support page lists several users with a similar issue. Some applications are very slow to grasp. What I mean is if I type stuff like that the characters lag behind and take a few seconds to appear on the screen. Chrome browser is working fine. The problem occurs in other applications like Opera browser. I’m on the beta channel, one user wrote on the support page.
Although Google has not officially released an update to fix this bug, a product expert has suggested a few tips that Chrome OS users can use to work around this bug. The list includes restarting the Chromebook, resetting all flags, and removing or disabling extensions, among others.
