Apple CarPlay rival, Android Auto could launch automatically soon whether your phone is locked or not
Google makes it easy to connect your phone to Android Auto. Until now, it was necessary to connect the smartphone to the infotainment system of the car using a wire or wireless. But soon you will be able to log into Android Auto without even unlocking the device. This feature is not yet live, but hints have been seen in some Android Auto 5.9 codes.
Based on the string of codes found by the XDA developers, this may not be an entirely new feature created from a group, but rather a fix for cases where your phone fails. not automatically launch Android Auto when connected to the infotainment system. This assumes that you have the Android Auto app installed on your phone and have an in-car infotainment system that supports it.
It is not certain whether this function is intended for wired or wireless connections or both. We would therefore have to wait for Google to officially deploy it in the near future.
While Google strives to make Android Auto easy to use, Apple is also improving CarPlay. Just recently, Microsoft Teams added CarPlay integration among other features. This will allow Teams users to initiate and answer calls using the head unit in their car. One can also use Siri to initiate hands-free calls. There’s no word on Android Auto support at this time.
Here’s what the official blog post says. Making and receiving calls in the car will soon be easier than ever, thanks to CarPlay support for Teams Calling. With CarPlay, you can use your vehicle’s built-in controls to operate Teams, including using Siri to make and answer calls. “
