Elon Musk to Participate in Las Vegas Martial Arts Cage Match if it Occurs
In a statement on Saturday, Elon Musk announced that he will commence his training if the proposed mixed martial arts cage fight with fellow billionaire media mogul Mark Zuckerberg becomes a reality.
Twitter owner Musk tweeted on Tuesday that he was ready for a cage match in Las Vegas with Zuckerberg, CEO of Facebook’s parent Meta, who has trained in jiu-jitsu.
“I haven’t started training yet. So if that happens, I will,” Musk said in a Twitter chat with Ashlee Vance, author of a book about Musk and the space race.
The match “could really happen,” Musk said while attending a birthday party in Europe, adding that it was possible it could go badly if Zuckerberg took the match seriously.
Musk also said that SpaceX’s investment in the Starship rocket, whose debut flight exploded over the Gulf of Mexico in April, raising questions about the environmental impact, could approach $3 billion this year.
Musk said SpaceX is working to improve Starship.
