Realme 11 Pro+: Is It Worth the Price Tag of Rs 27,999?
Realme, a Chinese smartphone brand, has entered the highly competitive market for 200MP camera smartphones in India’s under Rs 30,000 segment. They have recently launched their camera-focused phone, Realme 11 Pro +, to directly rival the Redmi 12 Pro Plus and Infinix Zero Ultra. These two smartphones also boast 200MP cameras and are priced similarly.
Realme 11 Pro+ price and color options
The Realme 11 Pro+ is available in two storage variants: 8GB + 256GB priced at Rs 27,999 and 12GB + 256GB priced at Rs 29,999 in India. The smartphone is offered in Sunrise Beige, Oasis Green and Astral Black color options. I tested the Sunrise Beige variant and here’s what I have to say about this new 200MP camera phone from Realme.
Realme 11 Pro+ Design
If you talk about the design, the Realme 11 Pro+ stands out as a strong contender in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. Behind the Realme 11 Pro+ Sunrise beige version is a vegan leather design that gives a premium look and hardly attracts fingerprints and smudges. The device offers a good grip and a comfortable hand feel. The back panel has a vertical stitch-like design around the center that looks like a zipper. In addition, the Realme 11 Pro+ weighs 189.00 grams, which makes it a lightweight device that makes it comfortable to use for long periods of time. The smartphone has a glossy plastic frame, including a large round camera module with three cameras on the back. Overall, the Realme 11 Pro+ offers a decent design in the mid-range category.
Realme 11 Pro+ screen
This new mid-range Realme smartphone comes with a curved display panel. The Realme 11 Pro+ 5G has a 6.7-inch curved Full HD+ display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a brightness of up to 950 nits, which you often see in almost all mid-range smartphones. The only plus point here is the curved AMOLED display as it gives you a premium feel and enhances the visual experience while consuming content on the screen. Realme 11 Pro+ offers impressive color reproduction. Our multimedia experience was impressive and the colors came out well on the screen. I was impressed by the display’s ability to maintain sharpness and brightness in various lighting conditions. The smartphone also has an in-display fingerprint sensor, which worked smoothly during our review.
Realme 11 Pro+ camera
In terms of camera specs, the main highlight of the device is that the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G offers a 200-megapixel camera with 4X lossless zoom, optical image stabilization (OIS) and SuperZoom. The smartphone has a triple camera on the back – a 200-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For video calls and selfies, the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G has a 32-megapixel front camera. The smartphone also comes with various camera modes like SuperOIS, Street Photography Mode, Night Mode with Moon Mode, Starry Sky Mode and Super Nightscape.
Realme 11 Pro+ camera performance has its ups and downs. In daylight, the main camera captures good details, but colors can look a bit oversaturated. The smartphone has trouble zooming in, especially in low light. The pictures lacked sharpness and clarity when taking pictures indoors at night.
However, the main camera managed to capture vivid and detailed daytime photos. I’m also impressed with the 32-megapixel front-facing camera, as the selfies I took during testing were good compared to the competition in this price segment. Overall, the Realme 11 Pro+ offers decent camera performance in daylight, but struggles in low light and indoors.
Realme 11 Pro+ performance
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 5G chipset and is topped with the Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0 skin. The Dimensity 7050 5G chipset offers decent performance and smooth multitasking in the sub-30k price segment. Watching web series and videos on YouTube for long hours and playing games like Chess.com, 1945 Air Force and more, the experience was smooth and lag-free. Also, switching between multiple apps like Zomato, Twitter, Dream11, WhatsApp and Instagram was easy to do common tasks.
The biggest problem with the device is its user interface. Realme 11 Pro+ software experience is weak due to excessive bloatware and annoying ads. Realme UI 4.0 feels really confusing with pre-installed apps like Josh, Dailyhunt, Moj and many more. These unwanted apps send unnecessary notifications which disturb the overall user experience. What I can say is that this phone’s user interface is let down by its bloatware-heavy approach.
In terms of battery performance, the Realme 11 Pro+ 5G is packed with a large 5,000mAh battery with 100W SuperVOOC fast charging support. When the device is fully charged, it lasts more than a day in normal use. Thanks to the support of 100 W SuperVOOC fast charging, the device takes less than an hour to go from zero to 100 percent. The smartphone also did not heat up during gaming and video streaming.
Realme 11 Pro+ Verdict
This 200MP camera phone from Realme, priced under Rs 30,000 in India, packs a lot of features. The Realme 11 Pro+ smartphone offers an attractive and attractive design. The device has a curved AMOLED display and a good selfie camera, but the rear camera struggles in low light and indoors. The user interface is also confusing – thanks to pre-installed apps, excessive bloatware and ads. Overall, if you are looking for a stylish smartphone with a curved display and a decent camera in the mid-range segment, the Realme 11 Pro+ can be a suitable choice.
