Pre-bookings Open for Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2023 Launches
Samsung has made an official announcement regarding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event, which is set to take place on July 26, 2023. The company has confirmed that they will be revealing new foldable phones during the event, specifically the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Additionally, Samsung has revealed that pre-bookings for the next generation of Galaxy foldables are now available in various markets, including South Korea, the US, Europe, and India.
In India, Samsung has announced that customers who pre-order the phone by paying ₹2,000 will get benefits worth ₹5,000 upon purchase.
Expected availability
The upcoming Galaxy phones in India will be available through various channels including the Samsung India website, Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung Exclusive Stores and retail outlets. The pre-order page of Galaxy Unpacked also hints at the introduction of new tablets and smartwatches during the same event. Rumors suggest that the flagship Galaxy Tab S9 series of tablets and the Galaxy Watch 6 series will be announced alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 on July 26.
Expected features of Galaxy Z Flip 5
According to these reports, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 might feature a larger 3.4-inch flip display compared to its predecessor’s 1.8-inch display. When unlocked, the smartphone is expected to sport a 6.8-inch AMOLED display. An update to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is also rumored. The camera setup may remain the same with a dual camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide sensor. The front camera is expected to be 12 megapixels. The device could be powered by a 4400 mAh battery with either 15 W or 25 W fast charging.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 smartphone is rumored to feature an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor that delivers powerful performance. It is expected to offer ample RAM options, up to 12GB for smooth multitasking. The device can come with three storage options: 256 GB, 512 GB and an impressive 1 TB. With a 7.6-inch foldable display and a 6.2-inch cover display, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to offer an immersive viewing experience. The main display is rumored to be a QXGA+ AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz, ensuring vibrant visuals and smooth scrolling. In terms of photography, the phone might have a triple camera setup on the back, which includes a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 12-megapixel telephoto lens.
