IRCTC Experiencing Technical Difficulties, Ticketing Services Affected
The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the platform that allows users to book tickets, check PNRs, and perform other functions, is currently experiencing technical difficulties. IRCTC has acknowledged the issue on Twitter and assured users that their technical team is working to resolve it. They have promised to provide an update as soon as the problem is fixed.
The official website of IRCTC is currently displaying an outage message. It said: “THE ELECTROTIC TICKET SERVICE IS EXTREMELY UNAVAILABLE FOR MAINTENANCE. PLEASE TRY LATER.”
Users have complained on Twitter about not being able to access the e-ticketing system and also posted screenshots of the errors. One user wrote: “Solve the problem as soon as possible. I am trying to book a ticket because it is not working before. Amount deducted 5 times but the ticket was not booked once.”
Downdetector.in has received 270 reports, with people reporting issues with the ticketing system, the app and the website. The problems started around 10 am and the problem is still ongoing. According to the website, 47 percent of people have reported problems booking tickets, while 33 percent of them can’t access the website itself. 19 percent have also complained about problems with the IRCTC app.
