Apple App Store Back online after brief global hiatus: Full details
The defunct Apple App Store is back online after a brief outage that affected thousands of users worldwide on Monday.
Along with the App Store, Apple Music, Apple TV+, the iTunes Store, and the Mac App Store were also part of the outage, which have now been resolved. According to Downdetector, users reported more than 2,400 issues.
About 91 percent of people had reported problems connecting to the server, 7 percent while accessing the website, and 2 percent while logging in.
According to Apple’s support page, between 11:20 p.m. until 11:47 p.m., an outage had occurred, affecting all users. The support page said, “This service may have been slow or unavailable.”
During the outage, users reported their problem on social media.
“Apple’s App Store was down for a while. Due to Apple’s outage, some of its services are working on iPhone, iPad and Mac platforms,” the user tweeted.
Last year, Apple Music, the Mobile App Store and Podcasts returned to their services after two consecutive days of outages.
Apple’s system status page says issues with Apple Music, Podcasts, Books and the App Store have been resolved nearly two hours after they started affecting some users.
