Apple to Begin Manufacturing iPhone 15 Plus in India: Here’s the Date

Apple’s iPhone 15 model is already assembled in India, which has helped the new iPhone 15 to be priced competitively in India. And now the company is ready to plan its next phase of production in the country, as the iPhone 15 Plus will be assembled in India in the next quarter, according to reports this week.

Apple has started relying on India for the production of its latest iPhone models in recent years, especially its flagship iPhones. Many people expected that locally produced iPhones would help consumers get them cheaper, but this is only applicable if all components are locally sourced and the models are manufactured from scratch.

However, Apple has been relying on different vendors to manufacture the iPhone in India, which has helped the company start selling the iPhone in the country along with other major countries like the US, Europe and China. According to ET’s report, the Apple iPhone 15 Plus will be assembled in India between October and December, which is not that far off. The company is expected to rely on its Tamil Nadu unit to manufacture the iPhone 15 model.

The Apple iPhone 15 series is already available for pre-order this week, and sales will start in the country on September 22. The iPhone 15 is priced at Rs 79,900, while the iPhone 15 Plus is available at Rs 89,900 for the base variants. Apple Stores are helping pre-orderers arrange in-store pickup or wait a few weeks for their new iPhones to ship, especially the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max.

The iPhone 15 Pro starts at Rs 1,34,900 and Rs 1,59,900, with a new camera system, a titanium frame that makes the phones lighter, and USB C charging for the first time from the company.

Apple has already pulled the plug on several iPhone models over the past week, including the iPhone 13 mini, which has effectively ended Apple’s hobby with small-sized phones. You can still buy these iPhones as long as they’re in stock, which means sellers can offer attractive discounts to get the units off the shelf.
