Apple could bring Dynamic Island Notch to all iPhone 15 models: Report
The iPhone 15 series will be released this year, although we are not sure about the name of the series right now. Last year, Apple decided to make the Pro models more attractive with features like Dynamic Island, better cameras and a bigger battery.
Now we’ve seen reports suggesting that the iPhone 15 series will feature a dynamic island, not just the Pro models. Leaked prototypes of the iPhone 15, 15 Plus, Pro, and Pro Max appear to feature an identical notch, which is likely to be enlarged thanks to software optimizations on iOS since last year.
While the report shares this positive update, it also mentions that the vanilla iPhone 15 and 15 Plus will likely not feature a ProMotion display, instead featuring a standard 60Hz refresh rate display. These two models miss out on the Always-On Display feature, and Apple will continue to use this older A-series chips in non-Pro models well into 2023.
The biggest difference will be in the construction materials, as Apple is believed to use a titanium body instead of stainless steel in the Pro models. Making this change will certainly help the company cut down on the size and weight of the Pro models, which is definitely needed. The mute switch is also expected to change on the Pro versions this year with a different mechanism that helps you turn your iPhone to silent or sound mode.
Apple could also introduce USB C charging with the iPhone 15 series this year, which will be an exciting addition for millions around the world. The change will allow people to use third-party chargers, but also hope that Apple can increase the charging speed of its premium phones. All of these additions could help Apple raise the starting price of the iPhone 15 Pro series later this year when it launches.
