“The new AirPods Pro have been updated with a USB-C connection, making it easy to use a single cable to charge your Mac, iPad, AirPods and iPhone 15 line. Users can even charge AirPods directly from the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max phones that also have a USB-C connector,” Apple said in a statement.

AirPods Pro (2nd generation) specifications

AirPods Pro (2nd generation) with MagSafe charging case (USB-C) enables lossless audio with ultra-low latency and offers a true wireless solution with Apple Vision Pro. The H2 chip in the latest AirPods Pro and Apple Vision Pro, combined with the wireless audio protocol, unleashes powerful 20-bit, 48 kHz lossless audio and significantly reduces audio latency.

The improved IP54 rating of the headphones and case also provides added dust resistance, so users can take them with them on their favorite adventures.

“This new listening mode dynamically combines transparency mode and active noise cancellation by adjusting noise control based on the sound of the user’s environment,” the company said.

Earlier this month, reports hinted that regular AirPods and AirPods Max would get the USB-C treatment sometime next year.
