Apple iPhone 15 To Feature 35W Fast Charging – Details Here

Apple’s iPhone 15 launch: Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is said to launch the latest iPhone 15 series smartphones – iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max next month. Ahead of the rumored September 12th launch, a recent report suggests that the move to USB-C could lead to up to 35W faster charging speeds on iPhone 15 models.

According to 9to5Mac sources, at least some of the ‌iPhone 15‌ models will be able to charge at this higher power. Currently, iPhone 14 models support charging speeds of around 27 W, while Pro models charge slightly faster. Upgrading to 35 watts would speed up charging times significantly.

Apple no longer includes a power source with the iPhone, but the company recommends using a 20 W+ charger for fast charging. If the ‌iPhone 15‌ supports 35W charging, Apple may recommend its 30W MacBook Air charger or 35W Dual USB-C charger for the fastest charging.

Recently, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the ‌iPhone 15‌ models will support faster charging speeds due to the move to USB-C. He said faster speeds would be available with MFi-certified USB-C chargers, including a 20W power supply, MacRumors reported.

In another report, a leaker named DuanRui claimed that Apple might not release leather cases for the iPhone 15 lineup. Not much is known that Apple might stop making leather cases for now. However, ShrimpApplePro and 9to5Mac reported the same from other sources, so the rumor is probably credible.

Apple introduced leather cases in 2013 with the iPhone 5S. Each new iPhone model brought updated colors and minor design changes, such as aluminum buttons and MagSafe compatibility.

Meanwhile, Apple’s iPhone 15 is believed to have been identified in India’s regulatory database, less than a month before the device is expected to be officially unveiled. MySmartPrice has detected an Apple device with the model number A3094 in the BIS database. The iPhone 14 model numbers are A2649, A2881, A2884, A2883 and A2882.
