Apple has a clear mandate for who can participate in the challenge. The company wants the student to be at least 13 years old in the US or 16 years old in the EU. You need to register for free with Apple as a developer. The participant must also be enrolled in an academic institution.
Apple 2024 Swift Student Challenge: How to Create Apps
Apple wants the app’s playground broadcast to be a ZIP file. Make sure the creation can be used without an internet connection, as the application will be evaluated offline. The file size must not exceed 25 MB. The work must be developed by an individual, not a group. The app’s playground should work in Swift Playgrounds 4.4 or later, which requires the latest version of iPadOS or macOS. Apple allows the use of the Apple Pencil, but the content must be in English only.
