December Delight: OnePlus 12 Unveiling Date Revealed!

Company CEO Pete Lau has finally confirmed the OnePlus 12 launch date on Monday. The OnePlus 12 is the brand’s latest flagship phone, which coincidentally started its journey 10 years ago. The OnePlus 12’s main launch in China is next month, which is just a few weeks away. In Lau’s release teaser, OnePlus could also announce the new OnePlus Watch 2 model at the event.

The OnePlus 12 will be launched in China on December 4th, marking 10 years since its debut in the market when the OnePlus One launched with much fanfare and a much talked about invitation system to buy the phone. The event starts at 19:00 in China. With these timelines, it is likely that the OnePlus 12 India launch could happen in January 2024.

OnePlus 12 launch: What we’re waiting for

During OnePlus’ recent conference, it was revealed that the OnePlus 12 will feature a QHD+ (1440 x 3168) AMOLED display made by BOE. It supports a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, making it brighter than some recent flagships, including the iPhone 15 Pro (2,000 nits) and the Pixel 8 Pro (2,400 nits). Recent OnePlus 12 benchmark leaks also suggest that the phone will indeed be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is the latest on the market.

The OnePlus 12 is expected to be a powerful upgrade not only thanks to the new AI chip, but the company is also rumored to use a new camera system developed with Hasselblad. The next OnePlus phone should also feature its fast charging technology, at least 100W wired, keeping the wireless speed at 50W.

In addition to this, the OnePlus Watch 2 could be another interesting product from the brand. It’s already been confirmed that OnePlus will use the WearOS platform to power its new smartwatch, which should make it more feature-rich than the first-generation OnePlus Watch.
