Delhi Resident Shares Reasons for Choosing iPhone 15 Pro Max at Apple Saket Store
Apple has started selling the new iPhone 15 series in India, and at the Apple Saket store in New Delhi, shoppers lined up outside the Select Citywalk mall around 4 am to be the first to buy the latest iPhone. In Mumbai, the story is a bit different, Apple BKC’s first iPhone 15 buyer had to wait 17 hours outside the store.
Rahul, the first customer at the Apple Saket store in Delhi, opted for the iPhone 15 Pro Max and said he did not pre-order or opt for discounts. He waited since 4 o’clock, went inside the store at 8 o’clock and then came out showing off his brand new purchase. Despite the starting price of Rs 1.60 lakh, Rahul was pretty sure he wanted to buy the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Not only him, in fact in Apple Saket, the demand for iPhone 15 Pro Max was much higher than iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Pro, at least on the first day of sale.
“I always use the Pro Max models in iPhones every year, whether it’s the iPhone 14 Pro Max or the iPhone 13 Pro Max. It was natural for me to choose the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Whether it’s the new Titanium finish or the improved cameras, the iPhone 15 Pro Max makes sense,” Rahul said.

“I didn’t pre-order or opt for discounts. I came to the Select Citywalk mall at 4 o’clock and waited until 8 o’clock when the store opened for customers. For me, it’s about being the first to get the latest top-of-the-line iPhone every year,” he adds.
Rahul had a clear idea – when you spend money, why not go all out and get the top version.
As previously reported, Apple seems to have another bestseller on its hands, as the new iPhone 15 Pro Max is in higher demand than last year’s iPhone 14 Pro Max. According to the details shared by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the premium model of the iPhone 15 series is once again grabbing all the eyeballs and people’s money.
He also notes that the demand for the vanilla and plus versions of the iPhone 15 series is at the same level, while the iPhone 15 Pro craze is lower this year, mainly due to the unique camera features that Apple has limited to the 15 Pro. Max. Kuo mentions that shipments of the iPhone 15 series will reach 80 million units by the end of 2023, with more numbers likely to come early next year.
He reiterated the production concerns faced by Apple this year, which is not helped by the excessive demand for the iPhone 15 Pro Max version. All of these have already created a long wait for the top-of-the-line iPhone 15 model, but that should ease as Apple gets more units on board to expand production.
“It’s great to be back in India celebrating the launch of our incredible new products with our teams and customers at Apple BKC,” said Wendy Beckman, Senior Market Director, EMEIA. “Our team is so excited to share our all-new iPhone 15. collection, as well as the new Apple Watch Series 9 and Ultra 2, featuring our first carbon-neutral models.”
