If so, you should definitely consider taking part in the Apple Swift Student Challenge. This program is currently accepting applications, giving you the opportunity to turn your dreams of improving the world into reality.
Following the launch of the Swift Student Challenge and new Every Can Code projects in November, Apple says challenge applications are now open and will be open for the next three weeks!
The Swift Student Challenge is part of Apple’s efforts to support and elevate the next generation of developers, creators and entrepreneurs. Since its launch in 2020, the global challenge has given thousands of student developers the opportunity to showcase their creativity and coding prowess in app playgrounds and earn real-world skills they can leverage in their careers and beyond.
Are you eligible?
Anyone interested can familiarize themselves with the requirements and instructions for building their own application playground, focusing on the topic of their choice. So what gives you entry to the challenge? First, you must be at least 13 years of age in the United States or an equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction (for example, 16 in the European Union). And second, register with Apple for free as an Apple developer or become a member of the Apple Developer Program.

- You must be enrolled in an accredited academic institution or equivalent official home school;
- Enroll in a STEM organization’s curriculum;
3. Enroll in the Apple Developer Academy; or
4. Have graduated from high school or equivalent within the last 6 months and are awaiting acceptance or have been accepted to an accredited higher education institution.
What can the winners expect?
Note that things are a little different this time. Among the 350 winners, Apple recognizes 50 Distinguished Winners for their outstanding work and invites them to Apple in Cupertino to enjoy a unique experience.
All challenge winners will receive a one-year membership in the Apple Developer Program, a free gift card for the App Development with Swift certification exam, and a special gift from Apple.
The application is now open until February 25, 2024.
