Elon Musk Changes Twitter’s Blue Bird Logo With Doge Meme: Here’s How Users React
In a strange turn of events, Twitter CEO Elon Musk on Tuesday replaced the microblogging platform’s blue bird with Dogecoin as Twitter’s logo. The change to Doge, the logo of the Dogecoin cryptocurrency, is only visible on the web version of Twitter, not the Twitter app.
Musk tweeted “As promised” and attached a screenshot of his tweet conversation with a user last year in which they had asked him to buy Twitter and change the bird logo to a dog.

New agency Bloomberg reported Dogecoin’s value rose nearly 30 percent after Twitter changed its homepage logo to a dog meme.
Many Twitter users expressed their thoughts on Musk’s announcement. “Elon Musk waited until April 3rd to change the Twitter logo to #Doge to show his haters how deadly serious he really is. #Dogecoin,” the user wrote on Twitter.
“Love the new Twitter logo @elonmusk – and it looks like the #Dogecoin icon shows up when you completely reload your Twitter page. What’s going on? Brb, grabbing a cannoli,” the tweet read.
“Have you checked your #Twitter logo today? Looks like #Floki wanted to have some fun,” Floki’s cryptocurrency account tweeted. Another user tweeted: “Promises made, promises kept. Thanks for making Twitter fun again! #Dogecoin to the moon!”
This isn’t the first time Elon Musk’s tweet has sent crypto prices flying. In February, Musk introduced his pet as “the new CEO of Twitter” and posted a photo of the dog in the boss’s chair.
In related news, Elon Musk recently issued a deadline after which all accounts with the old blue tick will lose their verification badge. To stay certified, they had to pay $8.
However, after the April 1st deadline, all old Twitter accounts seem to have retained their blue ticks. Instead, when you click the checkmark, a new message appears: “This account has been verified because it is subscribed to Twitter Blue or is an old verified account.”
