Elon Musk Seeks Assistance from Satya Nadella Due to Issues with Windows PCs
Elon Musk has continued to escalate his arguments with Microsoft over X, asking its chairman and CEO Satya Nadella to allow people to set up a new Windows PC without creating a Microsoft account.
When Nadella went public about the company’s partnership with generative artificial intelligence leader Mistral AI, the Tesla and SpaceX CEO responded that he doesn’t want to be a “pest.” “Satya, I don’t mean to be a pest, but allow people setting up a new Windows PC to skip creating a Microsoft account,” Musk wrote.
“This option disappears if the computer is connected to Wi-Fi. Also, even if you want to sign up, it won’t allow you to use a work email address and I only have work email addresses,” the X owner further wrote.
Nadella had not yet responded to Musk’s messages.
“Announcing a multi-year partnership with @MistralAI as we build on our commitment to provide our customers with the best selection of open and foundational models in Azure,” he had written.
The whole saga started last weekend when Musk posted about the problems he was facing with his new Windows PC. At first, the billionaire was unable to complete the installation process without creating a Microsoft account, but one user helped Musk figure out the process and get his Windows laptop working without an account.
