Fisker Reveals First Glimpse of Ronin Electric Vehicle with 600-Mile Range

According to a recent Instagram post from CEO Henrik Fisker, Fisker has provided us with another preview of the Ronin convertible EV, which is said to have a range of 600 miles. The full unveiling of the vehicle is scheduled for August 3rd. Similar to the original Fisker Karma, the Ronin is a sleek and low four-door sedan that falls under the category of a “super GT” car. It will be joining the Ocean SUV and the upcoming Pear EV in Fisker’s lineup. In the Instagram post, Fisker described the Ronin as an all-electric super GT with impressive speed and enough space for five passengers. He also emphasized that it is the ultimate long-distance Grand Touring car.

There is no information about the price yet, but the company previously promised to keep it under $200,000. Apart from the expected range, technical details such as power have not yet been shared. It was first revealed last year when Fisker said it would be introduced in August 2023, so it’s on schedule in that regard.

However, it is slightly behind in Ocean EV deliveries. The company announced the start of production as early as December 2022 and planned to build 300 Ocean EVs in the first quarter of 2023, increasing to more than 8,000 in the second quarter and 15,000 in the third quarter. So far, however, it has only shipped 22 units to the US and only started shipping a few weeks ago. The Ocean (built at Fisker’s “carbon neutral” plant in Graz, Austria) is priced at $37,500 for the base model and $69,000 for the 350-mile, 550-horsepower Ocean Extreme.

Fisker is working on an even more affordable electric car, the four-door Pear vehicle, which starts at $29,900 without incentives. There aren’t many details available on that vehicle either, but production is slated to begin next year in Lordstown, Ohio, with Foxconn as the contract manufacturer. The companies plan to eventually produce at least 250,000 units per year.
