Google Can Now Assist You With Maths, Even Difficult Equations: Here’s How
What if we told you that Google can now help you with complex math? Search is now able to offer solutions for trigonometry, calculus and geometry, among other things. That’s right, your standard Google search turns into a math teacher to help you find solutions.
Google says that the search can provide step-by-step solutions to these math problems, and you can get the answer by typing an equation or integral into the search bar. But since Google has several features, you can also click a picture of the problem with Lens. The search does most of the work to give you the right answer.
These options are currently limited to web search, but mobile users will also get this feature soon. Google relies heavily on Large Language Models (LLM) to help search respond faster and, most importantly, provide accurate information. It is likely that Haku will evolve and improve in providing solutions as it engages with more data entered simultaneously by users and researchers.
It’s interesting that Google wants to help students with its AI solutions, and using Lens to describe a geometric angle would probably have helped kids back in the day, too. Phones these days are very capable, and when you have AI-enabled chips that support these features, it’s hardly surprising to see Google bring these features not only to desktop users, but also to mobile users.
Students can take advantage of these features and enhance their learning in mathematics and physics with the help of artificial intelligence and Internet-fed information, simplifying their efforts. However, it is important that students rely on these tools only when the need is urgent and the problems are not easily solvable.
