Google Experiences New Issues as Pixel Folding Screens Start to Malfunction
The recent launch of the Pixel Fold by Google has generated much anticipation as people eagerly await to witness the real-life performance of this new foldable device.
Early signs suggest that the Pixel Fold is built to withstand heavy use, but now many owners are starting to see the Pixel Fold screen break after just a few days of use. The screen quality is definitely questionable on the Pixel Fold and some of the complaints include small bumps on the screen, even a few days after buying the foldable device.
Fortunately, the screen is sensitive, which means that dents are a sign of the quality that Google has put into making the phone. Another user reported seeing a pink line on the Pixel Fold’s internal display, which is also not a good sign for any device.
Google appears to be aware of the issue and has reportedly suggested these users contact their support team, who can investigate. Google offers extensive support for the Pixel Fold, and if these issues occur within the first few days of purchase, customers can take advantage of the warranty benefits as long as the damage isn’t related to physical issues.
Most people were concerned about the quality of the Pixel Fold when it launched this year, like every other first-generation foldable we’ve seen on the market. Samsung did not differ in the durability of the Galaxy Z Fold model’s screen when it was announced as the company’s first foldable device.
Reviews of the Pixel Fold haven’t indicated that the screen is sensitive, but consumer use cases tend to be different from those testing these products. We hope Google takes note of all these issues and provides proper support for the $1799 device and fixes them as soon as possible.
