Google Launches Play Games Beta in India, Enabling Android Games to be Played on PCs
Google is set to launch the beta version of Play Games in India, allowing Android users to enjoy their favorite mobile games on larger screens. The service will be available on phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and PCs. Initially, it will be offered in English and Hindi, with the possibility of more languages being added soon. Additionally, the Play Games on PC beta will be expanded to 60 new regions, including India.
“With Google Play Games on PC, gamers can easily browse, download and play mobile games on their computers, allowing users to benefit from larger screens and better controls with mouse and keyboard inputs,” Google explains in a blog post here. The best thing about this feature is that you can sign in to any of these devices with your Google account and pick up where you left off on the other device.
Google says that the minimum PC requirement for these games has been revised to allow more people to enjoy the games on the big screen. Here are the requirements:
– Operating system: Windows 10 or later
– Storage space: 10GB SSD space
– Graphics: Intel UHD Graphics 630 or similar
– CPU: 4 physical core units
– RAM: 8GB
– Windows administrator account
– Hardware virtualization is introduced
If your computer meets all these criteria, you can download the Play Games beta version here.
Google claims that the Play Games beta service already supports hundreds of games, including games from Indian developers like Ludo King, Hitwicket Games and others. The feature also offers a keyboard rearrangement to help you change control settings.
The company continues to add new games and features, and we expect a beta release in the coming months. Being a beta version means that the feature may have performance issues that should be fixed in future updates.
