Vivo’s sub-brand iQOO on Wednesday confirmed the launch date of its upcoming flagship smartphone iQOO 12 in India. This iQOO 11 successor will be launched in the country on December 12, a month after its China launch on November 7.
iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya took to microblogging platform X (formerly Twitter) to announce the launch date of iQOO 12 5G. “The year 2023 ends with a bang! #iQOO12 will be on 12/12/23. #DoTheDream #iQOO.”

The company has already confirmed that its upcoming iQOO 12 series will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The company has also claimed that the iQOO 12 series will be the first to feature Qualcomm’s most powerful processor in India.
Before the release of the iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro in China, the company has also revealed the design of the BMW M Motorsport version of the iQOO 12 Pro. The details of the phone’s camera have also been teased.
A company official took to Weibo to announce the iQOO 12 Pro teaser images. The pictures show a slightly curved back with a glossy finish. Notably, apart from the BMW M logo that reads ‘Fascination Meets Innovation’, the device has no visible brand logos.
Additionally, the camera module appears to be square with curved edges and has “100X” branding, suggesting that the iQOO 12 Pro’s cameras will support 100x digital zoom – similar to other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
The module itself looks relatively large, almost the entire top of the device. In addition, there are three camera lenses on the back. Now we can expect a 100X telephoto camera, a wide-angle lens and an ultra-wide-angle lens.
According to reports, the base iQOO 12 is backed by a large 4,880mAh battery that supports 120W fast charging. On the other hand, the Pro model packs a massive 4,980mAh battery with 120W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging support.
The iQOO 12 is also expected to have 24 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
