Infinix introduces innovative 720-degree spheretech NFC technology
Infinix, a popular consumer technology brand, has introduced its newest advancement in near-field communication (NFC) technology called the 720-degree SphereTech NFC. This innovative technology improves signal range and card reading area compared to current NFC solutions. The company has not yet revealed which smartphones will include this new technology.
Development of NFC technology
Infinix describes 720-degree SphereTech NFC as a proprietary and proprietary technology that significantly improves current NFC capabilities. According to the company, this new technology doubles the signal range compared to existing NFC systems and expands the card reading range by 200 percent. These improvements aim to address common issues related to transaction errors and card readability on NFC-enabled devices.
Li Cao, Head of Infinix’s NFC Department, explained that the development of 720-degree SphereTech NFC was driven by a commitment to innovation and user needs. The new technology is designed to improve the functionality of NFC applications and provide users with more reliable and safer interaction from different perspectives. Infinix claims that SphereTech NFC-equipped smartphones are able to perform transactions when tapped from the front, back and top, thanks to extended signal coverage and improved stability.
Technical aspects and historical context
The company did not specify the technical details of the SphereTech NFC, such as spatial layout, signal compatibility and material type configuration. Nevertheless, Infinix emphasizes that the main advantage of this technology is the reduction of its angle limitations, which leads to more reliable transactional interactions.
The NFC technology itself has been in use since 2006, starting with the Nokia 6131. The technology enables fast data exchange between devices simply by touching them together. The Google Nexus S, introduced in 2011, was the first Android smartphone to feature NFC, which is commonly used for transactions at retail touch points.
In conclusion, Infinix’s new 720-degree SphereTech NFC aims to advance the usability and reliability of NFC technology, although more details on its implementation in specific devices are awaited.
