That’s right, Cognition, a US-based AI startup, has developed what the company claims is the world’s first AI software designer. An artificial intelligence technology called Devin can write codes, fix errors and generate them to create professional websites and videos.
The company even mentions that Devin has passed practical engineering interviews and performed real jobs. “Devin is an independent agent that solves design tasks using its own shell, code editor and web browser,” the company notes in its X message. Devin has been able to solve 13.86 percent of GitHub issues without help, which is better than other AI models currently available.

Technicians are understandably concerned about the pace of AI development, and AI models like Devin’s don’t give them any certainty about their future. AI is already becoming a concern for big companies, and when you see Google planning AI and job cuts, the news about Devin makes things worse, not just for the current tech crowd, but for the future group as well.
