IPhone 13 will support faster WiFi than current iPhone 12 devices
The next iPhone 13 will definitely be an upgrade from the iPhone 12 lineup, and over time we’re getting more information on specific components that will help make that happen. The latest news is that the WiFi chip could be one of the components helping to improve the overall performance of the iPhone 13 range.
According to a report in MacRumours, the team at analyst firm Barclays has indicated that iPhone 13 devices will likely come with WiFi 6th capabilities. This is a step up from the current WiFi 6 capabilities of this year s devices.
Barclays predictions are based on his conversations with Apple’s hardware vendors, so the advice appears to be well provided. However, this is true for most of these rumors and we’ll just have to wait and watch.
When it comes to WiFi 6E, the chip will offer faster data speeds and lower latencies. In simpler terms, this means faster access to the web and less interference from other devices when trying to connect. Augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) apps are also expected to benefit from this upgrade.
Besides the iPhone 13, Barclays analysts have ruled out the possibility of another iPhone SE in the coming months. An updated model of the iPhone SE is expected, but it will not appear in the first half of 2021.
Ming-Chi Kuo also said that there won’t be another iPhone SE model until the second half of 2021, so that’s what Barclays analysts have to say.
IPhone 12 devices will launch by September of next year, like Apple’s regular program.
