This iPhone With iOS 17 Software Is Not Recommended For Use
Later this year, Apple will release the new iOS 17 version for a variety of iPhones, as confirmed by the company. However, Apple has also specified the models that will not receive the update, namely the iPhone 8, 8 Plus, iPhone X, and the first-generation iPhone SE.
Now, when you look at the list of iPhones getting the iOS 17 update, one model in particular stands out, and it’s probably the worst iPhone on the list to get the new iOS 17 this year. We are talking about the iPhone Xr, which came with the iPhone XS series in September 2018 and is the first iPhone series to receive the iOS 17 version. The iPhone Xr has mediocre specs, but was positioned as an affordable version for buyers who didn’t want to splurge on an iPhone XS or XS Max.
When the iPhone Xr was released, people quickly saw it as an iPhone that didn’t cost a bomb (by Apple’s standards) and it became an overwhelming hit. But now it’s 2023, and the iPhone Xr is almost 5 years old on the market, with a single camera on the back and the first-generation wide notch that debuted with the iPhone X a year before that.
You could say that the iPhone is not just about the specs or the number of cameras, the latest iOS software is tuned to give the best results in the latest models, that’s just how Apple works, so even if you get iOS 17, the iPhone Xr probably won’t get most of the features that Apple has announced in a WWDC 2023 keynote this month.
And that’s exactly why we think the iPhone Xr will be the worst iPhone to use in 2023, especially after you get the iOS 17 update later this year.
