ISRO to Awaken Vikram Lander from Slumber on Moon’s Surface with Chandrayaan-3 Mission

The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has achieved an incredible feat with the Chandryaan-3 Moon mission, successfully landing the Vikram Lander and Pragyan Rover on the lunar surface. On August 23, 2023, the Vikram lander made a significant touchdown, marking a proud milestone for India and ISRO scientists. During a lunar day equivalent to 14 days on Earth, the lander and rover made groundbreaking discoveries. However, due to the lack of sunlight, both the lander and rover have now been put into sleep mode as their batteries cannot be charged.

When will Vikram calculator wake up?

If the counter starts working after sunrise, ISRO will be able to continue the Chandrayaan-3 mission at the Moon’s south pole and reveal many more mysteries about the Moon. Currently, scientists are waiting and waiting for another miracle to happen so that they can participate in further study of the Moon.

Discoveries of the Vikram lander

The counter is equipped with the Instrument for Lunar Seismic Activity (ILSA) and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology, which recorded seismic activity on the lunar surface. However, ISRO mentioned it as a natural phenomenon. In addition, the lander also includes a small dog-sized Pragyan rover that can roam near the lander and collect various data. The rover managed to measure the temperature of the Moon’s surface, which was up to 60-70 degrees Celsius. In addition, it detected sulfur and other elements.

Now we have to wait for the sunrise of the moon so that Vikram Lander wakes up from his well deserved sleep and resumes his work. It is a great achievement if it can be used for a long time.
