What You Should Know About Google’s Launch of Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro in a New ‘Mint’ Color
Google has launched its flagship Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro phones in a new Mint color after teasing the same last week on its social media handles. As the name suggests, this is a shade of green, but it’s quite muted and matches the pastel aesthetic that the search giant has created over the past few generations of Pixel phones.
This new Mint colorway joins the existing lineup, which includes Bay Blue, Obsidian, and Porcelain for the Pixel 8 Pro, and Obsidian, Hazel, and Rose for the three Pixel 8 models.
This new color could be a fun choice for someone who is looking for a lighter shade for their Pixel phone, but doesn’t necessarily want the Rose color. But it should be noted that this new color only comes in the 128GB models of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro, so if you need the latest model, you’ll have to compromise on storage.
What’s more, this is just a new color that Google has introduced, borrowing a trick from Apple’s playbook – which means that there will be no updates and upgrades to the specs and features of both devices.
Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro In Mint: Availability and Price
It is not clear if this model would make it to India. However, a quick search on the Google India store reveals that Google has indeed started marketing the same and has listed the Mint color variant of the Pixel 8.
However, we don’t see the same for the Pixel 8 Pro. That being said, Google sells its Pixel phones through Flipkart in India and it remains to be seen when this model will be listed on the website. If it does make it to India, the price is expected to be the same as the other colors of the Pixel 8, which is Rs 75,999.
