Leaked Pixel 7a images show new colors and retail packaging ahead of launch
As the launch of the Pixel 7a approaches, a number of leaked images have surfaced showing the device in its retail packaging and in gray and blue color options. SnoopyTech – a popular leaker, shared images showing the phone’s design similarities with the October 2022 vanilla Pixel 7 featuring the Tensor G2 chipset.
The images also reveal that the Pixel 7a will feature a dual camera setup consisting of a new 64-megapixel primary camera and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The packaging on the retail box hints that like its predecessors, the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, the Pixel 7a will not include a charging adapter in the box, which has now become the norm.

Additionally, the Pixel 7a is available in a new blue color, a first for a Pixel phone. The muted blue shade is similar in intensity to the lemongrass color of the Pixel 7 and exudes a subtle and calming azure atmosphere.
More renders of the Pixel 7a have also surfaced online – the phone is shown in a coral color reminiscent of the Pixel 4 and 4XL. Additionally, a recent report by MySmartPrice revealed that the Pixel 7a was spotted on a GeekBench listing – further confirming that the phone will feature a Tensor G2 SoC – the same processor that powers the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. According to the listing, the phone could have 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage space.
With numerous leaks appearing in various forms, including alleged retail packaging, it seems likely that the Pixel 7a could launch during the upcoming Google I/O 2023 event, which is scheduled for next month in May.
