Leaked Render of Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Offers First Glimpse of Upcoming Foldable Device
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, set for the end of July, will feature the latest foldable devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5, as well as the Galaxy Watch 6 series and Galaxy Buds 3 Pro. A leaked press image has surfaced ahead of the launch, purportedly showing the first look at the Galaxy Z Fold 5.
A leaked image published by MySmartPrice shows what the alleged Galaxy Z Fold looks like – in two positions of the phone: folded and folded in half. And from the looks of it, the device looks folded with no gap in between – something Samsung hasn’t been able to address in the four generations of the Z Fold that have appeared.
Another notable change is thinner internal bezels and a redesigned flash, now moved to the right side of the camera module.
The smartphone is expected to be the highlight of the Galaxy Unpacked event, which Samsung has confirmed will take place in Seoul, South Korea. This is the first time the event is held in Samsung’s home country.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch FHD cover display and a larger QHD+ 7.6-inch internal display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Additionally, we can expect both the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 to be powered by Galaxy’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. And in terms of optics, based on recent leaks, the Z Fold 5 might retain its triple-camera setup, and the Z Flip 5 might also still feature a dual-camera setup.
