Linda Yaccarino, the newly appointed CEO of Twitter, announced via a tweet on Monday that she has officially assumed her position at the social media giant. This comes approximately one month after her appointment was announced by Elon Musk.

Jaccarino, a former head of advertising at NBCUniversal, is taking over Twitter at a time when the social media platform is trying to reverse declining advertising revenue.

Former NBCUniversal executive Joe Benarroch also joined Twitter on Monday. He oversaw communications strategy for the Comcast-owned company’s advertising and partnerships division, reporting to Yaccarino before joining Twitter.
