LinkedIn’s new tool for displaying job posting confirmations
Professional social networking platform LinkedIn has introduced new tools to help job seekers feel safe and confident in their job search.
New tools include — Job Verifications, Profile Verifications and Message Alerts.
LinkedIn is now starting to show “job posting confirmations” that show verified information about the job posting or his company.
“When you see verifications on job postings, it means there is information that has been verified as authentic by the employer, LinkedIn, or one of our partners,” LinkedIn said in a blog post Monday.
According to the company, these new checks will help job seekers feel confident in their search and allow recruiters to build trust with potential candidates.
“Verification of job postings is just coming, and as we expand access to our free verification tools, you’ll see even more about the job you’re researching,” LinkedIn said.
In addition, with profile verification, the company introduced new free ways for users to verify their identity, work email address, and workplace on LinkedIn.
With the message warning tool, the company now warns users if LinkedIn messages contain high-risk content that could affect their security.
For example, the company warns users if a message asks them to take the conversation to another platform, as it can sometimes be a sign of a scam. If something doesn’t feel right, these alerts allow them to report the content without notifying the sender.
