Looking to Make Rs 2.5 Crores Annually? Consider This Artificial Intelligence Job
The development of generative artificial intelligence is reshaping job trends and bringing to the fore high-paying roles that did not exist before. One such job that is currently in the internet limelight is the position of “AI prompt engineer”.
According to a ZDNet report, the role involves “getting the best and most relevant answers from generative AI tools” and is one of the “hottest” jobs.
The report adds that fast engineers can earn around $1,75,000, which is around INR 1.4 billion, but this can also exceed $3,00,000 a year, around INR 2.5 billion.
However, at first glance, this role may seem simple, but it specifically involves doubling up on a number of skills, including programming, problem solving, AI expertise, and even art. This is exactly why fast engineers are in high demand.
This has also created a significant challenge for companies in finding such experts. “I think most people in recruiting are stealing,” Greg Beltzer, chief technology officer at RBC Wealth Management, told ZDNet.
He added: “A good fast engineer is more expensive than a data scientist these days.” Additionally, he thinks, “it’s outrageously difficult to try to find someone with experience. You’re not going to find anyone with more than five years of experience. You might get two or three years at most, but it’s hard to find.
This also highlights the fact that humans need to evolve themselves to remain relevant in this rapidly evolving AI world. As generative AI becomes more and more involved in apps and tech companies, the demand for AI-based roles will only grow, which is ironic considering the product that helps build them is allegedly taking away “normal” jobs.
