Microsoft enhances Copilot with GPT-4 turbo upgrade and improved image generation for business users
Microsoft is introducing a major update to its AI-driven Copilot assistant, giving priority access to the advanced GPT-4 Turbo model for business subscribers. This upgrade is part of the Copilot for Microsoft 365 package, priced at $30 per user per month, enabling users to utilize OpenAI’s newest model on multiple platforms such as the Copilot mobile app, web interface, Windows, and Edge.
Priority access improves efficiency
With this deployment, Microsoft aims to provide commercial customers with priority access to the GPT-4 Turbo model, ensuring faster and more comprehensive responses. As part of this update, limits on the number of daily chats and conversations will also be removed, allowing users to interact more widely with Copilot.
Copilot for Microsoft 365 users benefit from access to state-of-the-art foundational models augmented with the latest publicly available data from the web. Importantly, in a commercial context, Microsoft is committed to data protection and ensures that interactions between users and companies are not recorded for educational purposes.
While Copilot Pro subscribers already had access to GPT-4 Turbo, this update extends the privileges to businesses utilizing Copilot for Microsoft 365. In addition, the improved model is available for both online surveys and work-related tasks such as email surveys, document analysis. and much more, supporting the analysis of up to 300 pages of text with a single prompt.
Advanced image generation increases creativity
In addition to AI improvements, Microsoft is also adding image creation features for Microsoft Designer for Copilot users. Business subscribers will soon be able to create up to 100 images per day, a significant increase from the previous 15 images per day. Leveraging OpenAI’s DALL-E 3 model, Microsoft promises rapid image creation to minimize wait times.
These advancements will first be available at copilot.microsoft.com before being extended to the Copilot mobile app, Windows, Edge and other platforms where users connect directly to the Microsoft 365 work environment.
