Microsoft is likely to bring ChatGPT Bing to Android and iOS
Microsoft wants to let mobile users experience the new ChatGPT-based Bing very soon. The company has already released the new Bing for desktop users, and in the coming weeks, Android and iOS users will also be able to use the new artificial intelligence-based Bing search.
The company is actually working on a “significantly optimized user interface” for Bing’s Chat interface that will be compatible with Android and iOS. The content also comes with the help of ChatGPT.
Microsoft confirmed in an email sent to testers that the mobile experience is not yet ready,
according to the report.
Microsoft has distributed the update via email to testers. “We don’t have a mobile experience ready yet – we are actively working on it and will have it ready soon. Until then, keep using the new Bing on desktop and download the Bing app from your favorite app store to make sure you’re ready for an incredible experience when the Mobile version is ready.”
Getting a mobile version of Bing is paramount for Microsoft to capitalize on ChatGPT’s popularity and attract more users to its search-based platform. But it is important that Microsoft fixes all the bugs and makes Bing’s interface compatible on mobile devices.
Microsoft has invested around $10 billion in OpenAI and is already benefiting from moving to ChatGPT first. In addition to Bing, the company is also bringing an AI chatbot to the Edge browser, and soon you’ll have them available through many Office apps like Word, PowerPoint, and even Outlook. But the work doesn’t end there. Microsoft also plans to integrate Open AI technology into its own artificial intelligence model and will share details of this plan in the coming weeks.
