Microsoft is testing Windows Feature Experience Pack for Windows 10 Small Updates
Microsoft is testing a new way to deploy software updates through its “Windows Feature Experience Pack”. These feature packs will be accompanied by small updates to a few Windows 10 features. Microsoft is testing this first with Windows Insiders without knowing when it will reach businesses and users.
Windows Feature Experience Packs could mean Microsoft is rolling out small updates for Windows 10. It is currently offering two major Windows 10 updates in April and October. It also regularly deploys service packs that come with security and performance improvements. Windows Feature Experience Packs will be deployed to Insiders the same way they receive builds and cumulative updates.
With the Windows Feature Experience Pack, we can improve certain features and experiences that are now developed independently of the operating system, Microsoft said in a blog post.
Microsoft’s first Windows Feature Experience Pack has been released in beta. Microsoft said it was initially “very extensive” with a limited number of features. Even the former has updates for just two features. It allows Windows Insiders to use the built-in screenshot tool to “take a screenshot of your screen and paste it directly into a folder of your choice in File Explorer to save the screenshot there.” ‘screen”. This feature pack also supports split keyboard mode for the portrait touch keyboard for 2-in-1 touch devices.
Windows Insiders can find this feature pack by going to Settings> Update & Security> Windows Update. The update also requires beta testers to have 20H2 Build 19042.662 on their devices.
