Microsoft’s AI-powered Bing surpasses 100 million active users: All the details
Microsoft’s AI-powered Bing search engine has crossed the 100 million daily active user mark, as ChatGPT’s integration with Bing has helped the company grow monthly usage more than ever before.
Its rival search engine Google has more than a billion daily active users.
“We are pleased to share that after several years of steady growth and the addition of one million plus new Bing preview users, we have surpassed 100 million daily active Bing users,” said Yusuf Mehdi, the company. Vice President and Director of Consumer Marketing at Microsoft.
About a third of daily Bing Preview users use AI chat daily. “We’re seeing an average of about three chats per session and a total of over 45 million chats since the preview began,” Mehdi announced.
About 15 percent of chat sessions are people using Bing to create new content, indicating they’re broadening their search to include creativity, he said.
“We’re also excited to see the new Bing on mobile with the launch of our new Bing Mobile app,” he added.
“On the small screen, Answers and Chat, now with voice input, are much more useful and have led to a 6x increase in daily active users before launch,” he said.
The technology giant has increased Bing AI’s conversation limits to 10 chats per session and 120 conversations in total per day.
Previously, these conversations were limited to six chat sessions per session and a total of 100 per day.
