How to protect yourself from false, misleading messages

To protect yourself from such fake and misleading messages, you should always pay attention to the source of the messages. Fraudsters often trick people by impersonating trustworthy individuals and organizations. It is important to verify the authenticity of the sender before processing attachments.

It’s also worth remembering that scammers often try to create a rush by claiming that you’re about to lose your account or that you might have won something big. Using social psychology, scammers may try to pressure you into making rash decisions

Legitimate companies will never ask you to share your sensitive information in messages. Therefore, you should avoid sharing personal information in messages with any company. Most of the time, you should also be able to call out the wrong message by looking for unusual language and grammatical errors.
