Netflix Introduces Personalised Tab For Select Users

Netflix, the popular streaming service, has recently launched a personalized tab for Android and iOS devices. This new feature, called ‘My Netflix’, aims to assist users in selecting their preferred content. According to a blogpost by the company on Monday, the ‘My Netflix’ tab is currently being introduced on iOS and is expected to be accessible on Android devices in the near future.

According to the streaming giant, the new tab is “a one-stop shop tailored to you, with easy shortcuts to help you choose what you want to watch.”

In this new mode, users can see their downloads, TV shows and movies they’ve thumbed up, shows and movies they’ve saved to My List, trailers they’ve watched, reminders they’ve set, whatever they’re watching, what they’ve recently watched, and more.

“When you’re on the go with your phone, go straight to My Netflix, where you can quickly select something you’ve saved or downloaded to watch,” the company said.

Additionally, users can still visit the Home tab and other sections of the app to find the full list of series and movies. The more users interact with Netflix and share what they like, the more they see in the My Netflix tab.

Earlier this month, the company had updated the profile transfer feature to allow users to transfer their profile to an existing account.

The Profile Transfer feature allows users to transfer their personal recommendations, watch history, My Lists, saved games and other settings to another account.

Last week, the streaming giant had announced that it has stopped password sharing in India and is warning subscribers who share their accounts outside their homes.

In May, the streaming giant had launched paid distribution in more than 100 countries, which represents more than 80 percent of the company’s turnover.
