Nokia 106, Nokia 105 Feature Phones Launched With Built-in UPI Option: All Details
In a major step, HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has launched the new Nokia 105 2023 and Nokia 106 feature phones with built-in UPI 123PAY functionality that allows users to perform digital transactions securely and seamlessly even without a smartphone.
UPI 123PAY is NPCI’s instant payment system for phone users who can use the Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment service securely.
UPI 123PAY enables feature phone users to perform numerous transactions based on four technology options such as calling an IVR (interactive voice response) number, app functions on feature phones, missed call approach and near voice based payments. .
Nokia 106, Nokia 105 Feature Phones: Price and Availability
The Nokia 105 and Nokia 106 4G phones are available in India for Rs. 1,299 and Rs. 2,199 respectively. The Nokia 105 will be available in charcoal, cyan and red, while the Nokia 106 4G would be available in charcoal and blue.

“By introducing UPI feature in our feature phones, we aim to enable feature phone users to perform secure and convenient digital transactions easily and move with time. By bringing UPI to our beloved feature phones Nokia 105 and Nokia 106 4G, we aim to bridge the digital divide and enable financial access for all,” HMD Ravi Kunwar, Head of Global India and APAC said.
Nokia 106, Nokia 105 Feature Phones: Specifications
The Nokia 106 has a 1.8-inch display with QQVGA resolution and supports 4G connectivity. The device comes with a 1,450 mAh battery. The Nokia 106 4G also has an MP3 player. It has a built-in FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a micro USB port for charging.
On the other hand, the Nokia 105 (2023) has a 1.8-inch display with QQVGA resolution. The device has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a micro-USB port for charging. It has a built-in FM radio and IP52 waterproof certification. The Nokia 105 has a 1,000 mAh battery, which is 25 percent larger than its predecessor.
