Nokia Unveils G42 Smartphone Featuring 90Hz Display and Android 13 Operating System – Price and Specifications
The recently launched Nokia G42 is the latest offering from the brand. It features a high refresh rate screen and a 5G chipset, which has become the norm in the market. Despite venturing into different markets with its products, Nokia continues to produce aesthetically pleasing phones within its range. Equipped with a Snapdragon chip, it comes pre-installed with Android 13.

Nokia G42 has launched two variants with up to 6GB of RAM. The company has shared a price tag of $199 (roughly Rs. 16,000) for the 6GB RAM model, but the details of the 4GB variant are yet to be revealed. The phone is coming to the US, UK and Europe.

The Nokia G42 has a 6.56-inch HD+ display with a 90 Hz refresh rate. HMD Global claims that the phone is easy to repair, which is why it has partnered with iFixit to provide parts and tools for the consumer to fix issues like the display, battery, and more. It is powered by a Snapdragon 480+ chipset with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which can be further expanded via a microSD card slot. The phone runs on Android 13, and like other Nokia phones, we expect the interface to be free of bloatware and ads. It gets two operating system updates and three years of security support.
The Nokia G42 gets a triple rear camera that includes a 50-megapixel sensor as well as a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The front of the phone has an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies. Nokia has given the device an IP52 rating and you have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. As a smartphone, it is interesting to have an FM radio and a 3.5 mm headphone connection. The 5000 mAh battery is charged via the USB C port, but only at a speed of 20 W.
